The fire within
In the Fiendfyre I am reborn,
clinging tightly to your body,
heat prickles my skin like a thorn,
in the fiery dragons' glory.
Flying high above the hellfire,
I recall Quidditch days of yore,
chasing the Snitch in a tight spire,
distracted by my fair Saviour.
In Madam Malkin's old mirror,
your spectacled eyes gave solace,
friendship turned into a glower,
confronted by pureblood hubris.
A prisoner in Slytherin,
the saddest truth I confronted,
don't you know Snakes always win?
unless my Lion is interested.
Fire sputters like a spoilt potion,
sabotaged with a sly intent,
always seeking your attention,
until you give me your consent.
Your tears healed me like a phoenix,
your regard burns as Fiendfyre,
with you I do not need Felix,
raptured enough by your desire.
