I'd show them Independence Day. Perhaps they'd be traumatized for life or choke on their popcorn. Their eyestalks may even fall out - their tentacles writhe in alarm, whatever.
One thing is sure, they'd realize our mighty viruses can conquer their invulnerable spaceships and go infest some other unsuspecting planet. I hold with Stephen Hawking in this - aliens are not necessarily cuddly ones.
If I showed them ET, they might grab my mobile and call their fleet to attack us. The expense - and the damage - would be enormous.
