Jake had time alone to mull things over. His concern slowly shifted to Edward because he considered Bella lost to him.
He's worried about Edward, like everybody. Hopefully Jake knows how to shake him up.
It was a risky choice Bella took, and this was one of the probable outcomes but it's left a hole in all their lives. it's going to be an intense chapter.
