The tutor
"Stir 23 times counter-clockwise, Malfoy!"
Draco nodded, adroitly moving the stirrer whilst he reached for the Joberknoll feathers with his other hand. The quiet potions lab in the dungeons was his solace amidst the careful indifference of the students after the Final Battle.
He sighed and lifted the rod, gauging the brew's colour and thickness. He was preparing an improved version of the Memory potion under the stern gaze of the Potions Master.
"It's too thin, you have to—"
"Add flobberworm mucus. Severus, I know!" said Draco whilst he picked a grimy vial from the table and upended it.

"Mr Potter, you may bottle the potion," said Slughorn, carefully shying away from the cauldron.
Harry shook his head, watching the portly man's wary face. Unfortunately he no longer had the Half-Blood Prince to aid him, therefore his potions tended to have unpredictable results.
Sighing, he eyed Malfoy expertly bottling his potion. The memory of those pale hands wrapped tightly around his abdomen as the two escaped the Fiendfyre still fuelled his wet dreams.
Harry was failing potions and he needed to pass so he could join the Aurors. He wanted to ask Draco for help, but he was unsure.

"You're failing potions, Potter." McGonagall scowled at Harry. Her gaze strayed to the wall and the painting of her predecessor. Snape's black eyes were fixed on the tousled-haired student.
"I reckon I get distracted," said Harry dolefully. Actually he felt restless, full of energy and without any outlet. They hadn't finished the Pitch yet. He missed Quidditch, especially watching Draco's lean body skilfully riding a broom. He wished Draco rode him instead.
"You clearly need a tutor."
Harry looked up, his green eyes shining with the hope she'd assign him Draco. "Is it—?"
"Snape."
Harry slumped on the chair.

"Cast Tempus!"
"Why don't you ..." Harry trailed off, realising Snape couldn't do that. He wondered why Snape wanted to know; the lighting in his painting suggested late afternoon, always.
"It's six o'clock," said Harry after casting it.
"Stir 15 times clockwise." Severus glared at the Gryffindor who was preparing the Scintillation Solution.
"Are you sure?" Harry lifted the rim of his glasses. "The potions textbook says counter-clockwise."
Severus crossed his arms and mumbled angrily, "Prat!" He continued in a louder voice, "Who's the expert here, Potter?"
Harry hunched up his shoulders and stirred the required times.
The potion exploded.

With the pads of his thumbs, Draco swiped the goo off Harry's intermittently glittering cheeks. If he lingered a bit, Draco told himself it was to ensure there were no residual effects.
"Thanks," said Harry gruffly. He squinted at the blond blob above him. "My glasses?"
"Here." Draco pressed them onto the calloused palm, shivering at the contact.
"You're lucky I came here to check my potion," drawled Draco, smirking at the way Harry shimmered. He was sorely tempted to kiss that satiny skin.
Harry pouted and Draco couldn't help himself. He snogged him, his tongue intertwining skilfully with Harry's.

"What a coincidence that Potter and Malfoy hooked up!" Minerva sipped her tea, glancing at Severus. She was amused to note that he looked uncomfortable.
"They won't fight anymore... indeed."
"Malfoy arrived just in time," she observed, gently putting down the cup, "Potter insists you told him—"
"Did no such thing!" growled Snape, scowling at McGonagall.
"At any rate, I wonder if you would tutor Longbottom."
"Fine, Minerva," said Snape resignedly.
"Just don't hook him up with Miss Weasley!"
"Of course not! Who do you take me for?"
He already had a clever plan to match Neville with Luna.
