"Teddy, remember what we talked about the other day?"
Teddy looked up from his sandwich. "What?"
"That you shouldn't change the colour of your hair in front of Muggles," said Draco softly whilst Harry returned from the kitchen with the treacle tart.
Teddy nodded slowly.
"I think you should go to your room," said Draco, pointing at the corridor, "no dessert for you, young man."
Teddy wibbled. "But Dwaco, how…?"
"No movies for tomorrow."
Teddy wobbled, his eyes wide as saucers whilst his lips trembled.
Draco remained firm. Teddy stood up and walked slowly, his hair becoming a depressing grey.
--
"Do you think I was too harsh on Teddy?"
"Nope, reckon you were firm." Harry finished his treacle tart and started eating Teddy's.
Draco paced back and forth, gesticulating with his arms. "Don't want to make the same mistakes Father did, that's all. He'd coddle me and then chastise me suddenly." He sighed when he heard Teddy sniffling in his room.
Harry speared the last of the tart on his fork and said shrewdly, "I think punishing Teddy is harder on you than him."
"How am I going to make him understand?"
Harry eyed Draco's tart. "Going to eat that?"
--
"So Lucius vanished your plushie?" Sitting on the couch, Harry patted his abdomen. I ate too much tart, he thought.
Draco cuddled against his shoulder. "It was Christmas. I went to their room and there he was, sleeping. Wanted to wake him up so I tapped his chest with Mr Twinkles, my white ferret. He woke up screaming and just… vanished it."
Harry tried to hold back his sniggers. "Ferret plushie?"
Draco glared at him. "That's why the incident is so painful."
"Sorry, love," Harry kissed the silky blond hair.
Draco mused. "Somehow, I remember Mother looking quite guilty afterwards."
--
Harry grabbed Draco's arm to keep him from dashing off to Teddy's room. "You weren't harsh."
The blond sighed. "You're right, Harry. Those Muggles you lived with…" He trailed off, remembering how hard it was for Harry to talk about his childhood. The little information he'd gleaned from him made his blood boil.
Hermione wouldn't tell him enough, though, so he'd gone to Weasley. Draco smirked, recalling Ron's penchant for talking animatedly when he was plied with enough food.
Just like Harry, he thought fondly whilst he smiled at Harry. He vowed to make Harry happy, however long it took.
--
Laying on his bed, Teddy fingered the plastic case of the DVD whilst his fingers traced the letters. He read out loud, "How to tame your dragon."
He sighed whilst his hair grew longer and darker, just like the boy on the picture who resembled him so much.
He'd heard Grandma Cissa calling her son a dragon. Judging from the sounds Teddy heard at night coming from Harry's bedroom, he was sure his godfather was wrestling with a huge dragon.
Teddy wanted to watch the movie, hoping it would help him tame Draco. Then again, perhaps Harry needed it more.

"Ready to begin Operation Tattaglia?"
Andromeda glared at the hooded figure on her threshold. "What are you on about, Cissa? And do come in from the rain!"
Narcissa strolled into her sister's parlour, elegantly shrugging off her cloak. "I took that from the Godfather, you know."
Andromeda smirked. "Thought you preferred the Lion King?"
"Well, I read the book. Anyhow, dear Andromeda," drawled Narcissa, "that's my code name for the enemies of the Blacks!"
Andromeda rolled her eyes behind Narcissa's back. She had to admit that sounded more interesting than knitting, and she had to defend her boys, of course.

Date: 2012-05-13 11:40 am (UTC)Teddy does look like him. I loved the faces the dragon pulled when the boy took care of him, and that contraption on him so he could fly. Loved this movie ♥
