100 things - TV shows

I love Fringe. Together with Charmed, it's the only series I've watched every episode of. There are episodes of Star Trek: TNG and TOS which I missed, but not from the other two.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm a sucker for alternate realities and convoluted plots. Fringe has plenty of that, plus strong ensemble playing by a capable cast, headed by Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble.

They draw you into the storyline. I especially love the way John Noble plays Walter Bishop. He imbues the good doctor with a mix of lovable and exasperating qualities.

And the plot? It's filled with so many twists and turns you need to really pay attention. I must confess that even with that, Nina's behavior puzzles me, not to mention that of the inscrutable Observers.

The ideas they present soar in the best sci-fi sense, evoking a sense of wonder that lingers long after the show has ended. They make you think and play with the quintessential issue that underlies the best sci-fi. What if?

Me pasado como a ti con esta serie. Cuando me la recomendaron estaba empezando la tercera temporada y creo que con mis hermanas en menos de un mes nos vimos todos los episodios transmitidos hasta esa fecha. Era casi religioso durante la cena o durante algún almuerzo tardío ^^

La trama tiene un balance interesante y por momentos abisma al telespectador, para luego traerle de nuevo a la seguridad de la historia y a la incertidumbre de cómo puede continuar así de bien contada.

La serie te sumerge en el universo que crea, y como comentas, tiene una rica trama que te puedes pasar un buen rato ensimismado en ella. Los actores son muy buenos, simpatizas con ellos a pesar de tí mismo, como me pasó a mí con Fauxlivia^^

La temporada comenzó floja, pero tuvo un excelente final.

I totally agree with your sentence about sci-fi (what if...?). I've never watched a Fringe ep., but if you recommend it so strongly, I think it will worth a shot.

The best sci-fi does great following the what-if scenario to its conclusion, like the Bradbury story where affecting an insect in the age of the dinosaurs changes an election in the future.

Fringe is a very interesting series that deals with alternate realities, though it does have unsettling images.

Don't worry. (I'm still suffering from the effects of the party, looking a bit like a certain lolcat con resaca =)

I really liked that serie and was fully prepared to let myself get sucked into it, when suddenly it stopped!
After only one season! Now they are doing re- runs,over and over again(of just that season)!I hate it when that happens!
So I never got to know the characters very well :(

The same thing happened before with other series too,like "Jerico",which I really loved !!!
I think we had 2 or 3 seasons, when it stopped and never came back ,not even re-runs! :(

They stopped Fringe after the first season? You missed the second one and the rest, when it gets really interesting. What's the matter with those guys in programming? :(

Jerico too? That's too bad. Those guys need to show the series til its conclusion or not at all :(
