Summary: Nightmares abound.
Notes: This is part of a series of drabbles I'm writing using songs as inspiration; this one from M83 by Outro
Harry woke up during the night. He was used to Draco moaning in his sleep and he knew it portended nothing good. His lover was still plagued by haunting memories of the war and the foul presence of Voldemort in his house. Lately, the stress of training as Unspeakable had been taking its toll. Draco's nightmares became more frequent until Harry, in a fit of desperation, consulted his best friend.
Hermione's solution did not prove fruitful though, and bitter fights ensued between the lovers. Harry insisted Draco should try a less stressful job which the stubborn Slytherin predictably refused to do.
Hearing Draco whimpering, Harry gently nudged his shoulder, trying not to notice how smooth the skin felt and the way it glowed like finest alabaster in the candlelight. He shook his head, chastising himself. Reckon lust is for the light of day, not the unsettling dark of nightmares.
Draco thrashed on the bed and finally opened his eyes, mumbling, "What?"
"You were having a nightmare."
"Nothing of the sort." Draco's lips quirked upward in a weak smirk.
"Heard you moaning and whimpering."
"Indeed, I started having a nightmare, Harry." Draco drawled lazily; he stretched his long limbs and propped himself on his elbows. "But my instructor told me the way to get rid of them. Used the technique she taught me to master my dreams. Turned them into you and me."
Harry heaved a sigh of relief. "Are you sure?"
Draco leered at him. "Manipulated the dream and ended up in the Astronomy Tower, making love to you."
